NITROX DIVER

Introduction
This Speciality is designed to extend your knowledge and skills in the use of oxygen enriched gases for Sport Diving. It develops the knowledge required to plan, analyse and use an Enriched Air Nitrox breathing gas mix for recreational no decompression diving.
This speciality can be run for any certified diver who has the equivalent of RAID Open Water 20.
Who is this for?
For divers wanting to use an optimal breathing gas for their diving, those that want to extend their bottom time, and generally feel a bit better after several dives.
An absolute must for holiday divers doing multiple dives a day who want to stay out of deco.
Also a key course for those wanting to progress into deeper and longer diving.
What Will you learn?
We'll teach you gas planning for Nitrox mixes of up to 40% for recreational diving, and how to select the optimum mixture. We'll give you the skills to analyse and effeciently label a Nitrox cylinder.
You'll learn to plan for maximum 1.4 PpO2 at the target depth and understand how to plan for oxygen toxicity and the effects of CNS and OTU.
We'll make you think about your diving in a bit more depth.
Pricing & Duration
The Nitrox Course is done over an evening classroom session, which covers the dive planning, gas planning and theoretical part. We will also spend time with different analysers and discuss & practice cylinder labeling.
We'll mix you a nitrox mix in your own cylinder, which after labeling, we'll use for an optional experience dive at a local dive site.

DRYSUIT DIVER

Introduction
This programme covers all you need to know about drysuit diving and takes you through suit selection, suit configuration, layering strategies, and of course suit operation.
We take Drysuit Training very seriously and as such will train you in depth on how to get the best out of yours suit.
The skills that you will learn with this programme will help you to become a comfortable and safe drysuit diver.
Nb. The RAID Drysuit course was written by one of our instructors, so you know you will get the best quality available.
Who is this for?
If you're an open water diver or above, and want to learn how to control a drysuit you are at the right place.
Maybe you already dive a drysuit but you never really felt that comfortable and in control, please come to DiveLife and let us help you master your suit control!.
What Will you learn?
We'll do a basic intro session in the pool, this is more to get you the right amount of weight, then in the open water we will teach you the essentials of suit control over a series of dives.
The online learning process goes into great detail on how the select a suitable suit, how to configure it, and how to use layering strategies to keep you warm yet flexible in the water.
Pricing & Duration
The course consists of a home learning portion, a confined water, and 3-5 dives at a local dive site, this generally can be done over 1 weekend. This is assuming a good level of control prior to the course.
The course includes the rental of a drysuit and an undersuit. Other equipment can be rented at a reduced rate if required.

DEEP 40M DIVER

Introduction
This Specialty is designed to extend your knowledge and skills to allow you to dive to deeper depths safely. It develops the knowledge required to plan, prepare and analyse for your dive to reduce stress and confusion, allowing you to enhance your diving experience.
This specialty can be run for any certified diver who has the equivalent of a RAID Explorer 30 with Nitrox and is stable and controlled in the water.
Who is this for?
If you're 15 years or older and have completed a RAID Explorer 30 (or equivalent) programme with a Nitrox certification, well good news.....we can take you deeper!
Maybe you fancy that slightly deeper dive site, that wreck that was out of reach, or you simply want to learn about what it takes to dive that little bit deeper.
What Will you learn?
We'll do a full overhaul of your diving by looking at your planning, your equipment and how it's configured, gas use and gas planning, selecting the best Nitrox mixes and even use Helium to reduce gas narcosis and density.
The RAID Deep 40 course will have you walk away with a solid skill set and a true understanding of what 40m diving (and beyond) asks of you in order to do this safely.
Pricing & Duration
The RAID Deep 40 course can be run over a weekend or 3 days, depending on the existing skill and level of comfort in the water of the student.
The course takes 2 days for the Nitrox option, and 3 for the Trimix option.
Prices include use of a stage, all materials, tuition and certification fee. Other equipment can be rented at a discounted rate if required.
