This Speciality is designed to extend your knowledge and skills in the use of oxygen enriched gases for Sport Diving. It develops the knowledge required to plan, analyse and use an Enriched Air Nitrox breathing gas mix for recreational no decompression diving.

This speciality can be run for any certified diver who has the equivalent of RAID Open Water 20.

Who is this for?

For divers wanting to use an optimal breathing gas for their diving, those that want to extend their bottom time, and generally feel a bit better after several dives.

An absolute must for holiday divers doing multiple dives a day who want to stay out of deco.

Also a key course for those wanting to progress into deeper and longer diving.

What Will you learn?

We'll teach you gas planning for Nitrox mixes of up to 40% for recreational diving, and how to select the optimum mixture. We'll give you the skills to analyse and effeciently label a Nitrox cylinder.

You'll learn to plan for maximum 1.4 PpO2 at the target depth and understand how to plan for oxygen toxicity and the effects of CNS and OTU.

We'll make you think about your diving in a bit more depth.

Pricing & Duration

The Nitrox Course is done over an evening classroom session, which covers the dive planning, gas planning and theoretical part. We will also spend time with different analysers and discuss & practice cylinder labeling.

We'll mix you a nitrox mix in your own cylinder, which after labeling, we'll use for an optional experience dive at a local dive site.
